This can be done through any of the following.

Poor road infrastructure and transportation are some of the many obstacles to effective care. Especially for poor women in remote rural in rural areas, clinics are often too far away or otherwise inaccessible. Most often, there are either no roads to the nearest health facility, or existing roads are impassable due to road quality, terrain, natural disasters, or the rainy season.
In Sierra Leone and many remote areas in Sub-Saharan Africa, poor rural women walk for miles in order to access health. This can be particularly dangerous for women suffering from obstetric complications, where delays in reaching medical care can have fatal and permanent consequences. For example Obstetric fistula, a painful and unhygienic consequence of obstructed labour over a long time is compounded by the inability to reach medical attention and disproportionately affects poor and rural women, often resulting in their social isolation.
Walk in the shoes of poor rural pregnant women who often have to walk these long distances to access healthcare. Any money raised will help provide communication network such as ambulances, to transport pregnant women to health facilities. It will also help to build and refurbish clinics in remote rural areas.

Run to save mothers and babies
Help save the lives of mothers and babies jogging and running a marathon or a half marathon. In Sierra Leone, many rural women travel long distances to reach a hospital or clinic, even when in labour and most often on foot.
Motherhood Health Care runs because the distance is one of the greatest obstacles preventing women from accessing healthcare in rural Sierra Leone.
In most peripheral health units in rural Sierra Leone, there is only one “Maternal and Child Health worker” who is designated to a clinic. Often, however, care may not be available when needed, for example, if the only professional at the health post travels for training or for some other reasons. In such instances, if a woman needs to deliver, the only option that she is left with is to deliver at the house of a traditional birth attendant (TBA). In cases where there are complications from childbirth or neonatal emergencies particularly at night, the pregnant women’s life is placed at risk because there are fewer healthcare workers in rural areas than in urban areas and also because TBAs tend to have limited access to ambulances.
Run to save mothers and babies in rural and remote areas who often die from childbirth and neonatal emergencies due to lack of access to skilled health care.
Any money raised will help to train more health professional and to improve communication networks such as motorbikes, bicycles and mobile phones.
